My Articles

My journalistic work heavily focuses on education, legislation & policymaking, and investigations into wrongdoing. However, I also find myself drawn heavily toward features & profiles, in-depth historical reporting, and advocating for smarter technology use and other topics on the op-ed page.

My Photos

My photography came about as a natural extension of my writing. I focus on storytelling on personal moments and try to tightly hone in on the little, tiny stories that often go unseen in the bigger crowd — the trees within the forest, so to speak. However, my art background comes through in my fine art work where I tend to focus on texture and pattern, as well as playing with perspective.

My Designs

While my print publication design work has dominated the last few years, I still dabble in all of the arts. My work tends to focus heavily on typography, minimalism, monochromatic color schemes, and either realism or abstractions based in humor. I believe simple is powerful and often overlooked.
